Los Angeles - Day Two
Well, yesterday was a very cool day!
It started with a phone call from Randy Thomas, inviting me to come to the Paramount lot to see where Entertainment Tonight and The Insider are created. She also invited my friend Kara Edwards along. We had a great time meeting everyone (including host Kevin Frazier) and watching Randy work. Everyone was very welcoming and willing to talk to us about how they produce the show and do their jobs. It is amazing to me that they create that show daily, in a matter of hours each day. Just amazing.
Randy then took us on a little driving tour to Studio City and through a Canyon (name I cannot remember), and then back down through Beverly Hills. We made a pit stop along the way and saw some even cooler sights that most people have not seen, but I'm sworn to secrecy and cannot divulge.
Then it was off to get ready for the Red Carpet.
I had a meeting prior to the Red Carpet event with Ilko Drozdoski from TGMD Talent. I've been working with TGMD for a couple of months now, so it was great to finally get to meet Ilko, my fellow Polish colleague (my maiden name was Slovenski, btw). I learned a lot during our meeting... he's good people.
On the Red Carpet, well.... it was kinda like going home. It was so cool to meet all my virtual friends from the Voiceover Universe, vo-bb, and voiceoversavvy. There are so many of us, too! It's amazing! Randy was kind enough to introduce me to Joe Cipriano and his wife Anne, as well. Nice, nice people!
I'm looking forward to today!

Hi Caryn! That's so cool that you made it to the event. It's fun hearing and reading about everybody's report. Looking forward to some piccies.

Yes, it's been fun!!! I've actually only had the chance to attend one session so far (I had an ISDN session yesterday and a morning meeting), but I plan to go to more today. Wish you guys were here!!!!!!
