The Year in Review
As is custom when owning your own business, the year-end means you review your business for the year, and do some heavy duty analysis. Which, should be easy to accomplish since you likely have to get your numbers ready for your tax professional.
Take a look at the following:
- where does the majority of your business come from? You can break it out by agents, word of mouth, online vo marketplaces... you get the idea.
- how much are you spending on equipment? Coaching? Marketing? Are these dollar amounts proportional to the amount of business you bring in because of them?
- probably most importantly, figure out where you should focus your time and money in order to best build your business?
You also might want to consider taking some time to sit down, and actually write a business plan. What are your goals? Then, devise strategies you can implement to get to those goals.
Best of luck to each of you in the new year! It's going to be a great 2008!!!
